Located in beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, golf instruction at Geneva National Golf Club blends together lessons from our experienced staff of golf professionals with state-of-the-art golf-swing technology. Whether you plan to learn as a group or individual, our team of golf professionals is dedicated to improving the game for every level of player.Geneva National students will receive instruction specifically designed for their individual success. We provide a low student-to-teacher ratio for you to receive the personal attention needed. The professional staff at Geneva National is prepared to improve all aspects of your game, including club fitting, full swing, short game, and on-course strategies.Geneva National Golf Club Instructional Programs are designed to provide the same game-improvement technologies and instruction to the amateur and junior golfers that PGA Tour professionals have access to every day.

Instructor Bio:
Zach Heusser is a master golf instructor with more than 25 years of experience helping golfers of all abilities improve their game. He has been recognized by Golf Digest as a "Top Teacher in California" from 2002 to 2026 and was named among the "Top 20 Teachers in America Under Age 40" from 2007 to 2010 — honors that speak to his long track record of excellence.
Most recently, Zach served as Lead Instructor at Crystal Springs Golf Club in the San Francisco Bay Area (2005–2025), where his highly regarded summer camps became a launching pad for aspiring junior golfers, many of whom went on to win tournaments nationwide. His passion for player development also reached the collegiate level, where he served as Head Men's Golf Coach at NCAA Division II Notre Dame de Namur University (2013–2020).
A native of Lake Geneva, Zach is excited to bring his expertise home. He began his career working at Hillmoor and Lake Lawn Lodge before apprenticing under legendary instructor Jim McLean at PGA West and Mariner's Point (1999–2004), where he refined his teaching philosophy. As a collegiate athlete, Zach competed for the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse golf team, laying the foundation for a lifelong commitment to the game.

$125 an hour | $70 for a half hour
Charlie Brown, PGA
Member Head Golf Professional
Instructor Bio:
A PGA Member for over 25 years, Member Head Golf Professional Charlie Brown has been with Destination Geneva National for over 6 years. Before then, he worked at several private and public golf facilities.
Over his career, he has taught thousands of private golf lessons and conducted countless clinics to golfers of all ages and abilities. His teaching philosophy is that all golfers are different, and no two swings are alike or only one swing theory correct. Charlie works with his students on improving their overall game, mental and course strategy, and everything from the driver through the putter.
Charlie has won numerous tournaments and awards over his illustrious 25 years of being a P.G.A. Professional. A 3-time Wisconsin P.G.A. Player of the Year in 2003, 2004, and 2006 which led to his being named Wisconsin P.G.A. Player of the Decade from 2000-2009.

Instructor Bio:
Assistant Golf Professional and Junior Golf Leader, Sam Klobucar will be in his third season at Destination Geneva National. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Golf Enterprise Management and Hospitality and has gained valuable experience at golf courses across the country and world including Olympia Fields Country Club, McDowell Mtn Golf Club, Kauri Cliffs, and Tara Iti in New Zealand. Sam has passion for the golf industry, growing the game of golf through juniors and families and is very excited to be leading our junior programming.
Lesson Rate:
Adults: $70 per 45 minutes | $15 per additional student
Juniors: $60 per 45 minutes | $15 per additional student

Golf Schools
Golf Schools at Geneva National Golf Club Golf offer players of all skill levels a unique mix of situational practice and on-course instruction. All students enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere surrounded by our helpful staff of golf professionals dedicated to improving every aspect of a student’s game. After spending time on the practice range with our instructors, students will have the chance to test what they’ve learned on the course.
Each Golf School includes:
Resort accommodations (based on availability)
Select meals
Customized instruction plans on Geneva National Golf Club practice facilities
A round of golf with each full day of instruction
Launch Monitor and swing analysis
