Welcome to the Club

Some might judge Geneva National by its cover: a golfing trifecta with 54 holes designed by masters Palmer, Player and Trevino bounded by a five-star steakhouse, lush woods and wetlands, and a rambling Clubhouse full of engaging social life. Peer inside; there is so much more.

Privately owned for more than 20 years by the Chambers family, Geneva National is an extension of their desire to create more than an exceptional golf experience – but a tradition of family, fitness and fun. For this reason, Geneva National is open to the public, but maintains a vibrant membership comprised of area residents as well as families from the Chicago and Milwaukee areas.

If you are looking for that staid social club of your grandparents, you won’t find it here,” says Membership Director Andrea DeLaune. “We are a refreshing version of club life that caters to golfers and non-golfers alike, adults as well as children. We understand family life stages, differing priorities and the value of time, and we’ve adapted with versatile membership offerings, the primary tiers being Social, Golf and Sport.”

  • A Social Membership puts you on the Member’s side for Clubhouse dining and fitness and on the scene for a packed calendar of club events and entertainment throughout the year.

  • Likewise, a Golf Membership hones in on swing time, with unlimited rounds and range plus a full schedule of tournaments, outings, leagues and social events.

  • Those with a tighter schedule might select the pared-down Sport Membership with eight unrestricted rounds and an invite to member-staff play days and social events.

"Some people worry that they aren’t good enough golfers to join,” states DeLaune, “but that is all the more reason to surround oneself with PGA-certified instruction, practice greens, driving range, some 12,000 yards of fairway, and fellow members who will cheer on your progress.”

A case in point, one of the women’s weekly groups, Just Fore Fun, allows participants to swing as well as throw the ball. Novice kids are also welcome to the course. Starting at age 5, juniors can participate in drop-in clinics, weekly camps and private instruction, and at age 8, they can join Geneva National’s PGA Junior League.

“If you really want to get a feel for the Club, just stop by one Friday afternoon,” says DeLaune. “With live music emanating off the Member’s deck, kids’ golf clinics in full swing, and parents and grandparents catching up at the Grill Room, we’ve no doubt you will see – and feel – the welcoming difference at Geneva National.”
