The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association has announced that the 2027 WIAA State Boys Golf Championships will be played on the Lee Trevino Course at Destination Geneva National, June 6-7, 2027. It will be the 101st WIAA Boys High School State Championships.
Designed by World Golf Hall of Famer Lee Trevino, the par-72, 7,120-yard course opened in 1991 and was substantially renovated in 2024. It was named one of the Top 25 Public Golf Courses in the U.S. by Golfers' Choice in 2025. Geneva National has previously hosted the Wisconsin State Senior Open, Wisconsin State Open, Wisconsin PGA regional tournaments and sectional qualifiers, and several LPGA Championships.
"We are thrilled to bring the 2027 WIAA Boys Golf State Tournament to Geneva National," said WIAA Executive Director Stephanie Hauser. Glen Murray, PGA, chief operating officer of Destination Geneva National, added that the resort and the Town of Geneva are "beyond excited" to welcome the championships to Lake Geneva.
We also thank the Town of Geneva Tourism Commission for its support in bringing this premier event to our lakefront community.
